Pharmacy first plus is a new service a bit like a GP appointment. This is an in person appointment at 510 Dumbarton Road Partick - where you can be examined and treated for a wide range of common clinical conditions on the NHS. 

Pharmacy prescribers have the same prescribing rights on the NHS as doctors and nurses and access to all the main therapies such as antibiotics, inhalers and steroids. 

The main difference between this appointment and a GP appointment is that this is to manage an acute illness - rather than chronic disease. Where you would previously have waited on the GP appointment for a cough, infection, or being acutely unwell - this is where to start now.
